NSF establishes Office of Metascience and Head role

Dave Banerjee noted the establishment of the NSF's new Office of Metascience (OMS), which seeks to apply the scientific method to fund, organize, and evaluate research. This office is actively hiring its inaugural Head (see linked job posting). OMS aims to rigorously improve how NSF supports scientific discovery.
